Connecting the Norbert Hub to an EMR System
The Norbert Hub integrates seamlessly with EMR systems like PointClickCare, enabling you to securely store and access residents’ health data. Follow these steps to connect your Norbert Hub to your EMR.
Step-by-Step Guide to Connect:
Prepare Your EMR Credentials
Ensure you have your facility’s EMR URL, username, and password provided by your system administrator or Norbert Health representative.
Start the Connection Process
During the device setup you will be asked to enter your EMR details
Otherwise: Open the Norbert Health app on your tablet and navigate to Settings > EMR Connection.
Enter Your EMR Details
Input the EMR URL provided by your facility.
Enter your login credentials (username and password).
Tap Connect.
Authenticate the Connection
The app will establish a secure connection with your EMR system.
If successful, a confirmation message will appear. The Norbert Hub is now linked to your EMR.
Test the Connection
To ensure the connection works correctly, perform a test by searching for a resident’s profile in the app.
Verify that the data populates correctly from the EMR.
Reconfigure or Troubleshoot (if needed)
If you need to update or change the EMR connection, go to Settings > Reconfigure EMR Connection.
Follow the same steps above to establish the new connection.

Ensure the tablet is connected to Wi-Fi during the authentication process.
