Can others access my data?
Only patients and their healthcare providers determine who can access the data.
What vital signs does the Norbert device measure?
The Norbert devices measures the same vital signs that your nurse/physician do:
temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and SpO2.
What is heart rate?
Heart rate is the number of heartbeats per unit of time, usually per minute. A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute.
What is respiratory rate?
A person's respiratory rate is the number of breaths you take per minute. The normal respiration rate for an adult at rest is 12 to 20 breaths per minute. A respiration rate under 12 or over 25 breaths per minute while resting is considered abnormal.
I have never heard of Pulse Wave Velocity. What is it?
Pulse wave velocity (PWV) is the velocity at which the blood pressure pulse propagates through the circulatory system, usually an artery or a combined length of arteries. PWV is used clinically as a measure of arterial stiffness.
PWV measures the performance of the arteries and has been established as a highly reliable prognostic parameter for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in a variety of adult populations including older adults, patients with end-stage renal disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
The slower your Pulse Wave Velocity is, the better your heart health is. However, normal Pulse Wave Velocity values vary according to age, so the same value could have a different meaning for two persons of different ages.
